Daniele Gargano, Psychologist, Psychotherapist
Bio
My name is Daniele, and I am a psychologist and cognitive-behavioral psychotherapist. I completed my professional training in Italy, specializing in the rehabilitation of disabilities and psychiatric disorders. Later, I moved abroad to work in an international environment, applying the expertise I gained to diverse fields. Over the years, geopolitical events have significantly shaped both my professional and personal development. My passion has always been, and continues to be, the study of human behavior and the practical strategies to overcome life’s challenges.
"The paradox of trauma is that it has both the power to destroy and the power to transform and resurrect."
Peter A. Levine
Services
As a psychotherapist, I have treated anxiety and depression in their various forms over the years, discovering that they are often linked to different types of trauma or abuse. For this reason, I specialized in the treatment of traumatic events and their consequences. I work with issues such as PTSD, addictions, narcissistic abuse, the aftermath of violent episodes, childhood traumas, and their long-term effects. I collaborate with individuals, couples, and organizations.
"I am not what happened to me, I am what I choose to become."
Carl Gustav Jung
Method
Beyond my formal studies, my working method has been profoundly shaped by experience. Early in my career, I had the opportunity to spend five years in facilities dedicated to psychiatric rehabilitation, along with countless hours supporting the families of disabled individuals. This experience allowed me to develop practical and effective tools to address a wide range of disorders.
Simultaneously, I benefited from the guidance of numerous mentors—psychiatrists, psychologists, law enforcement officers, and soldiers—who shared their expertise with me, often in emergency situations. Mental health is influenced by many variables, which is why my approach integrates knowledge from diverse fields and disciplines, including philosophy, martial arts, computer science, and more.
